Shimmery butterfly on black skin

I haven't posted for a long time but was inspired by the challenge on My Favourite Things Wednesday Stamp Club #177.

The pretty giant butterfly was stamped on black skin card stock with embossing ink and brushed with pearlesce powder in various colours. The same technique was used for the sentiment on the flag. The butterfly was matted on a light blue metallic cards stock and then onto a dark red metallic card stock.

The contrast between the specific card stock and the shimmer is unusual. Unfortunately the shimmery powder causes a mirage under the camera lens.

I made the flower using a metal die.

Hoping that everybody enjoyed the challenge as much as I did.

Varied colour embossing

Another card inspired by Freshly made sketches.

The tree was stamped on Antalis skin mocha cardstock using Versamark and then silver and gold embossing powders were sprinkled randomly onto the embossing ink before heat setting. Matted onto silver before adhering to the card base.

Silver stars

I love the beautiful swirls of the stamp made by Heindesign, which I used for the heat-embossed panel. Used curious metal ice silver cardstock for the card base. Matted silver strip before adding the embossed panel. Finished off with two silver die cut stars.
